- CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta confirmed that many schools were found to have enrolled dummy students who skip regular classes
- The inspections follow earlier disaffiliations for attendance violations and precede a forthcoming ban on dummy-school students in Class 12 board exams
- After reviewing the inspection committee reports, the board will enforce strict actions against institutions that breach its enrolment and infrastructure norms
