Overview
- Practical examinations, projects and internal assessments must run only from January 1 to February 14, 2026, with marks uploaded on the same day and no corrections after submission.
- From February 1, principals must monitor daily conduct and mark uploads, with the Board warning that non-compliance can lead to cancellation of practicals.
- For Class 12, only CBSE-appointed external examiners may conduct practicals, and use of unauthorised examiners will render assessments null and void.
- Schools must ensure sufficient practical answer books and fully equipped laboratories in advance, reporting any shortages to their CBSE regional offices.
- No exemptions or separate practicals will be granted to students at national or international sports events, CWSN must receive appropriate arrangements, and remuneration for exam functionaries has been revised with full guidelines available at cbse.gov.in.
