CBSE Sets Dec 27–30 Window to Complete CTET Forms as Haryana Opens HTET 2026 Applications

The moves aim to keep teacher eligibility exams on schedule despite heavy application volumes.

Overview

  • CBSE will reopen the CTET portal from 11:00 am on December 27 to 11:59 pm on December 30 for candidates with incomplete registrations on ctet.nic.in.
  • The board counted 1,61,127 incomplete CTET registrations, will accept no fresh sign-ups, and will not offer another correction chance after final submission.
  • A total of 25,30,581 CTET applications were successfully filed, including 3,53,218 on the second-last day and 4,14,981 on the last day.
  • Haryana’s education board has launched HTET 2026 registration at htet.eapplynow.com and bseh.org.in, with applications due by January 4 and fee payment and limited corrections allowed until January 5.
  • HTET is slated for January 17–18, 2026 across three levels (PRT, TGT, PGT) in offline OMR mode with 150 MCQs in 2.5 hours and no negative marking, and the certificate carries lifetime validity.
