Overview
- CBSE released the final Class 10 and Class 12 datesheet on Friday, giving students 101 days' notice before theory exams begin on February 16, 2027.
- The board ordered winter‑bound schools to hold practicals, projects and internal assessments from November 9 to December 19, 2026 and set January 1 to February 13, 2027 for regular schools.
- Schools must use the submitted online List of Candidates (LOC) only, conduct Class 10 internal assessment once, upload IA marks within the prescribed schedule and will not get extensions.
- Practical exams must be run in two or three sessions if more than 30 students are involved, Class 12 answer books must be dispatched to regional offices, and schools should request external examiners from those offices when needed.
- CBSE factored more than 40,000 subject combinations for the timetable and stressed that practical and IA marks carry equal sanctity to theory marks and must not be disclosed to students or others.
