CBSE Poised to Release Class 10 Second‑Board Scorecards

The board’s final marks will use the higher score from the two exam attempts, a rule that can change pass and grade outcomes for many students.

Overview

  • CBSE has not published an official date or time for the Class 10 second‑board scorecards but multiple outlets report the results are expected very soon and students should be ready to check official channels.
  • Students will be able to view provisional scorecards on CBSE portals (cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in) and through DigiLocker, the UMANG app, SMS and IVRS to reduce website congestion.
  • Under the new two‑board system introduced this year, the board will certify each student with the higher mark from the two attempts, so a second sitting can improve grades or convert supplementary outcomes into passes.
  • CBSE requires a minimum of 33 percent in each subject to pass, and phase‑one results released earlier showed a high overall pass rate but also a large number of students placed in compartments who could benefit from the second chance.
  • The board will continue its policy of not publishing a national toppers list, a measure aimed at easing result‑time pressure on students and reducing public rank comparisons.
