CBSE Opens New Regional Network in Seven Cities, Four Now Operational

The move decentralizes oversight through defined jurisdictions following approvals finalized last December.

Overview

  • Raipur, Ranchi, Itanagar and Gangtok began operations on August 22, 2025.
  • Gurugram and Lucknow are scheduled to start on September 1, 2025, with Agartala set for September 15, 2025.
  • All CBSE-affiliated schools will now be overseen by their designated offices according to the notified jurisdictions.
  • Gurugram’s office will cover 12 southern districts of Haryana, while the Lucknow office will manage 30 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
  • CBSE issued an advisory against unauthorised services offering quick fixes for documents, and an MoU with the NCB for school drug-awareness programmes is slated for signing in September at the CBSE headquarters.
