CBSE Opens National Teacher Award 2025 Nominations with July 6 Deadline

Qualified teachers and principals have until July 6 to submit online applications for the National Teacher Award 2025, after which a committee will trim nominations to 24.

Overview

  • Teachers need at least 10 years of continuous service by March 31, 2025 while principals require 10 years teaching and 5 years in headship at CBSE-affiliated schools.
  • Applicants must use the CBSE portal at cbseit.in/cbse/2025/tchawrd and upload a signed declaration, recommendation letters, academic certificates and student performance records in PDF format.
  • Candidates may apply only under one category and principals are not permitted to submit applications as teachers.
  • CBSE will evaluate submissions based on service length, academic qualifications, age and exam performance to create a merit list and shortlist the top 24 candidates.
  • A National Level Scrutiny Committee will conduct interviews with the shortlisted educators to select the final six award recipients.
