Overview
- CBSE’s CTET portal, which opened Monday, May 11, 2026, will accept applications through June 10 with fee payment due the same night.
- Applicants can no longer pick a test city as CBSE will assign the location at random and may also assign the date, and no change requests will be taken.
- The exam is scheduled for September 6, 2026, and CBSE may add September 5 if applications surge, with a correction window from June 15 to 18 and admit cards posting about two days before the test.
- Fees are set at ₹1,000 for one paper and ₹1,200 for both for General/OBC (NCL) candidates, while SC/ST and differently-abled candidates pay ₹500 for one paper or ₹600 for both, with bank charges and taxes extra.
- CTET serves as an eligibility test for teacher recruitment pools, candidates who score 60% or more qualify for consideration, and passing does not guarantee a job.
