Overview
- CBSE inaugurated the Experience Centre in its Dwarka office complex on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi and CBSE chairman Mandeep K. Bhandari unveiling the facility.
- The centre occupies about 6,000 square feet and is organised into 12 broad zones with 21 exhibits that begin with a short film called “Shiksha Ki Kahani” and include CBSE archival material dating back to 1935.
- Interactive installations let visitors use AI to generate avatars and art, enter AR/VR simulations of ancient civilizations, speak with holograms of figures such as B.R. Ambedkar and A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and finish with a multisensory ‘Eduverse’ experience.
- Joshi framed the centre as a practical step to move away from rote, marks-focused learning, saying it aims to build student confidence and address exam-related stress that he linked to extreme outcomes in some cases.
- The launch positions the centre as part of National Education Policy 2020 implementation and skill-building efforts linked to Atal Tinkering Labs, which Joshi said has about 10,000 labs and a government decision to add 50,000 more, while details on long-term access and evaluation were not announced.
