- CBSE told winter-bound schools to hold practical exams, project work and internal assessments from November 9 to December 19, 2026, with no extensions permitted.
- Schools that follow the regular academic session will follow a separate timetable, with practicals and internal assessments for those schools starting on January 1, 2027.
- The board required schools to submit a final List of Candidates (LOC), permit only LOC-listed students to appear, and conduct Class 10 internal assessment once with marks uploaded within the prescribed window.
- Operational rules include arranging external examiners and observers through regional offices, running practicals in two or three sessions when more than 30 students attend, and timely dispatch of Class 12 practical answer books to regional offices.
- CBSE released the Class 10 and 12 datesheet for main board exams running February 16 to March 9, 2027, and reported roughly 26.5 lakh Class 10 and 19.8 lakh Class 12 registrations as it aligns assessments with entrance exam schedules.
