Overview

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed affiliated schools to include daily positive affirmations in morning assemblies from the 2025–26 academic year.
  • The initiative is designed to support students' mental well-being, concentration, and emotional resilience, while promoting a growth mindset and self-worth.
  • Schools will implement one to two age-appropriate affirmations each morning, which can be customized to reflect individual school values and recited in both English and Hindi for inclusivity.
  • Sample affirmations provided by CBSE include statements such as 'I respect everyone. I respect nature.' and 'I am calm and stable in every situation.'
  • Schools are encouraged to engage students in creating or leading affirmations and to integrate them into a flexible framework aligned with their existing assembly formats.
