CBSE Mandates CCTV Installation for 2025 Board Exams

All Class 10 and 12 exam centres must have high-resolution CCTV coverage to ensure fair and transparent examinations.

Approximately 44 lakh students will take the Class 10 and 12 board exams at 8,000 schools in India and 26 other countries.
Schools without CCTV facilities will not be designated as examination centres, according to CBSE's new policy.
CCTV cameras must cover all areas of the examination halls, including entrances, exits, and desks.
Only authorized personnel can access the live feed, and footage must be securely stored for later review.
Schools must train staff on CCTV use and inform students and parents about the surveillance.
