CBSE Mandates CCTV Installation for 2025 Board Exams
All Class 10 and 12 exam centres must have high-resolution CCTV coverage to ensure fair and transparent examinations.
- Approximately 44 lakh students will take the Class 10 and 12 board exams at 8,000 schools in India and 26 other countries.
- Schools without CCTV facilities will not be designated as examination centres, according to CBSE's new policy.
- CCTV cameras must cover all areas of the examination halls, including entrances, exits, and desks.
- Only authorized personnel can access the live feed, and footage must be securely stored for later review.
- Schools must train staff on CCTV use and inform students and parents about the surveillance.
