CBSE Issues Tentative 2026 Board Exam Datesheets Spanning February 17 to July 15

Overview

  • The tentative window covers main Class 10 and 12 papers, Class 12 exams for sports students, Class 10 second-board exams, and Class 12 supplementary exams.
  • According to the draft schedules, Class 10 main exams run from February 17 to March 9 and Class 12 main exams conclude on April 9, with Class 10 second-board exams set for May 15 to June 1.
  • Around 45 lakh students are expected to appear across 204 subjects in India and 26 countries, according to CBSE.
  • Evaluation is slated to start about 10 days after each paper and finish within 12 days, with CBSE citing an example of a February 20 Physics exam being assessed from March 3 to March 15; practicals and post-result processes will run concurrently.
  • CBSE stressed the schedules are provisional and will be finalized after schools submit their final candidate lists.
