Overview
- Exams are scheduled from February 17 to July 15, 2026 across India and 26 countries, with Class 12 papers slated from February 17 to April 9.
- Class 10 will run in two sittings for the first time: Exam 1 from February 17 to March 6 and Exam 2 from May 15 to June 1 for improvement and compartment needs.
- The release covers main exams for Classes 10 and 12, Class 12 sports and supplementary papers, and the second board window for Class 10.
- CBSE set an evaluation guideline under which marking begins about 10 days after each subject’s test and is completed within 12 days.
- Roughly 45 lakh candidates will appear across 204 subjects, with practicals, admit cards and centre details to be issued under the board’s usual process after finalisation.
