Overview
- Class 10 Phase 1 runs from February 17 to March 10 and Class 12 from February 17 to April 9, with most papers offline from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
- From 2026 the board will offer two Class 10 exams per year under NEP-2020, with the first attempt mandatory and an optional second attempt in May for limited subject improvements.
- CBSE says it analyzed more than 40,000 subject combinations to avoid same‑day papers and to build sufficient gaps between commonly chosen subjects.
- To coordinate with JEE (Main), the NTA will require students’ Class XI registration numbers in applications, with schools asked to share the details.
- The final timetable was issued about 110 days before the exams following LOC submissions, with admit cards and practical or internal assessment schedules to be released separately.
