Overview
- Ten synchronized teams, each comprising a CBSE official and an affiliated school principal, conducted unannounced visits on August 13 across Assam, Delhi, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha.
- Inspections examined physical infrastructure, academic processes and attendance records to root out dummy or non-attending enrolments.
- The board released the names of the ten schools inspected, including institutions in Guwahati, Pune, Gwalior, Whitefield and Khurda.
- CBSE will decide whether to issue corrective directives, impose penalties or downgrade or withdraw affiliation based on the committees’ findings.
- This operation reflects CBSE’s intensified enforcement of its affiliation bye-laws to uphold educational quality and exam integrity.
