An expert committee will prepare revised Legal Studies textbooks for the 2026–27 session, aligning content with NEP 2020

  • Updated Legal Studies will explicitly cover the repeal of sedition, the removal of Section 377 and the ban on instant triple talaq.
  • The Board will convene an expert panel and may engage an external content development agency to develop new textbooks by the 2026–27 academic year.
  • The curriculum revamp aims to introduce interactive pedagogy, landmark judgments and contemporary legal doctrines in line with NEP 2020.
  • Concurrent vocational courses in Taxation and Financial Markets Management are being revised with ICAI and NSE support for completion by November 2025.
