Overview
- The board sanctioned a 150–175-page monograph titled “Bharatiya Ganit Parampara” to document India’s mathematical heritage from the Sulba Sutras through the Kerala School, including translated Sanskrit shlokas and source references.
- Class 11–12 Legal Studies will be overhauled to incorporate provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam while excising repealed colonial-era laws such as sedition, Section 377 and triple talaq.
- CBSE will form an expert advisory committee of historians, Sanskrit scholars, mathematics educators and academicians to steer content development and select an academic partner via an open process.
- Funding for both initiatives will be drawn from the CBSE Academic Unit’s curriculum research budget or secured through specific approval by the competent authority.
- The monograph will be released in print and digital formats for school use, and revised Legal Studies textbooks are slated for rollout in the 2026–27 academic year.
