CBS Studios is developing a period drama series titled 'King and Conqueror,' centered on the Battle of Hastings and the Norman invasion of England in 1066.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and James Norton will star as William the Conqueror and King Harold II, respectively, with Emily Beecham and Clémence Poésy also joining the cast.
The series will explore the interconnected family dynasties struggling for power across England and Normandy, leading up to the historic battle.
Production is set to begin in Iceland soon, with a potential premiere date in late 2024 or early 2025.
The BBC has acquired broadcasting rights in the U.K., while Paramount Global Content Distribution will handle distribution outside of the U.K.
