CBS is considering a spinoff of its long-running sitcom 'The Neighborhood,' focused on Malcolm and Marty Butler, played by Sheaun McKinney and Marcel Spears.
The spinoff, currently in development for the 2025-26 TV season, will explore the brothers' adventures as they leave their parents' home and adjust to life in Venice Beach.
The Season 7 finale of 'The Neighborhood' will serve as a backdoor pilot for the potential series, introducing three new characters who may join as regulars if the show is greenlit.
The project is being produced by CBS Studios with executive producers including Cedric the Entertainer, Bill Martin, Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, and Wendi Trilling.
If approved, this would be the second spinoff from 'The Neighborhood,' following the Tracy Morgan-led 'Crutch,' which is set to premiere on Paramount+.
