CBS Announces Post-Strike Winter Schedule, New Shows 'Tracker' and 'Elsbeth' to Premiere in February

Most Scripted Series to Have Shortened Seasons; 'Matlock' and 'Poppa’s House' Pushed Back to 2024-2025 Season

CBS has announced its winter schedule for the end of 2023 and start of 2024, marking the first network to do so following the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
The network's premiere week will start right after the Super Bowl, with returning shows such as 'NCIS,' 'Young Sheldon,' 'FBI,' 'Ghosts' and more airing new episodes.
Most new and returning scripted series are planning to have 10 to 13 episodes rather than the typical 20 to 22 episode seasons and are expected to run from February to May.
New CBS shows 'Matlock' and 'Poppa’s House,' which were originally scheduled to premiere during the 2023-2024 fall season, have been pushed back to the 2024-2025 season.
The upcoming action-adventure drama 'Tracker,' starring Justin Hartley, will air following the Super Bowl on February 11, and 'The Good Wife' and 'The Good Fight' spinoff 'Elsbeth,' starring Carrie Preston, will premiere on February 29.
