CBI Traps CPRI Joint Director and Company Executive in Rs 9.5 Lakh Bribe, Recovers Rs 3.76 Crore

- The CBI arrested CPRI Joint Director Rajaram Mohanrao Chennu and company director Atul Khanna in Bengaluru on January 9 during a trap as Rs 9.5 lakh was allegedly being transacted.
- Searches at Chennu’s residence recovered about Rs 3.59 crore in cash and foreign currency worth over Rs 4 lakh, according to the agency.
- The CBI said total recoveries have reached roughly Rs 3.76 crore so far and that search operations are continuing.
