• The syndicate ran a fully functional fake call centre in the Noida Special Economic Zone to dupe UK and Australian citizens with bogus tech support claims.
• Fraudsters impersonated representatives from companies such as Microsoft to extort payments by falsely alleging device compromises.
• Investigators seized substantial digital evidence, including high-end calling systems, malicious software scripts and detailed data records.
• Conducted under Operation Chakra-V, the raids were coordinated with the FBI, the UK’s National Crime Agency and Microsoft as the CBI widens its probe to trace other network operatives.
