• CBI officers reached Atin Ghosh’s Shyambazar residence on Friday afternoon and questioned him in the RG Kar financial irregularities case.
• Ghosh said he received a BNSS section 179 witness notice two days earlier, cooperated with investigators, and noted his ex officio role on the hospital’s Rogi Kalyan Samiti.
• The High Court–directed probe is examining alleged misappropriation of hospital funds, fraudulent work orders, tender bypass, and complaints of illicit biomedical waste and body trafficking.
