CBI Files FIR Against Delhi Man Over Emails Citing PM’s ‘Blessings’ in Jet Engine Pitch

A PMO complaint prompted the case, with investigators now probing alleged personation under BNS provisions plus Section 66D of the IT Act.

  • According to the FIR, messages went to ISRO, HAL, DRDO units including ADE and HEMRL, Premier Explosives, and US Navy Vice Admiral George M. Wikoff at the Pentagon.
  • The agency cited BNS Section 62 read with Sections 318(2) and 319(2) plus IT Act Section 66D, following a preliminary enquiry into the outreach.
  • In the emails, Kohli described himself as a 2002 TITS Bhiwani textile chemistry engineer offering an indigenous military jet engine proposal, with the investigation ongoing into scope, potential gains, or any sensitive information.
