  • Dola landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on June 13 as a deportee on flight AI-984 from Dubai following coordination between the CBI’s International Police Cooperation Unit, INTERPOL and UAE’s NCB-Abu Dhabi.
  • He is accused in FIR No. 67/2024 of remotely operating a synthetic drug manufacturing unit in Sangli that yielded 126.141 kg of mephedrone with an estimated street value of ₹252 crore.
  • INTERPOL issued a Red Notice against Dola on November 25, 2024, enabling CBI agents to track and geo-locate him in the UAE, where he was arrested on January 27, 2025.
  • Upon arrival, Dola was handed over to the Mumbai crime branch and remanded in judicial custody ahead of his court appearance.
  • Authorities are now pursuing leads to unearth links between Dola and other members of the drug syndicate as part of an expanded inquiry.
