- The CBF confirmed on Thursday that the semi-automated offside system will be turned on starting at the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals.
- Six quarterfinalists are already through—Vasco, Grêmio, Atlético-MG, Santos, Cruzeiro and Palmeiras—with two places to be decided in ongoing matches.
- The federation said stadium readiness across the eight remaining clubs, all from Série A, allowed the technology to be deployed for the knockout phase.
- The system made its Brazilian debut on July 25 and was triggered in five incidents during that weekend with an average review time of 47 seconds.
- The quarterfinal draw is set for August 11 at 11:00 at CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and will also determine which teams host each tie.
