Catholic Priest Sentenced to Year in Prison for 1987 Assault of 5-Year-Old

year-old Catholic priest Vincent DeLorenzo pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a boy in 1987 and was sentenced to a year in jail.
DeLorenzo took a plea deal, dismissing other charges and sparing victims from testifying at trial.
Five victims gave impact statements at the sentencing.
DeLorenzo served at churches throughout Michigan and admitted to "inappropriate sexual contact" with a child in 2002 but was not charged until 2019.
DeLorenzo was charged in 2019 after moving to Florida.
