Catherine Rampell Joins MSNBC as Co-Host of New Prime Time Show

The Washington Post columnist and economic commentator will co-host an evening edition of 'The Weekend,' launching this spring as part of MSNBC's programming overhaul.

Catherine Rampell, a Washington Post opinion columnist and former CNN and PBS NewsHour contributor, will co-host the evening edition of MSNBC's 'The Weekend.'
The new prime time version of 'The Weekend' will air Saturdays and Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m. ET, starting this spring.
Rampell will co-host alongside Ayman Mohyeldin and a third co-host yet to be announced.
MSNBC's programming changes include moving the current 'Weekend' hosts, Symone Sanders-Townsend, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez, to weeknight slots.
These shifts come as MSNBC restructures its lineup and expands its reporting staff, preparing for a corporate spin-off from NBC and recovering from a post-2024 election viewership decline.
