Catherine Laga'aia Cast as Moana in Disney's Live-Action Adaptation

The 17-year-old Australian actress will star opposite Dwayne Johnson, who returns as Maui, with production set to begin this summer.

Laga'aia, of Samoan descent, is honored to represent Pacific Island peoples and young girls in the role.
