Cathay Pacific to Restore Nonstop SeattleHong Kong Flights in Spring 2026

The carrier says renewed transpacific demand underpins the decision, with seats already available for cash or awards.

Overview

  • Service resumes March 30, 2026 with five weekly nonstops on Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
  • The A350-900 will feature 280 seats, including 38 in business class, 28 in premium economy, and 214 in economy, with no first class cabin.
  • Tickets are on sale and early partner award space has appeared, bookable via American AAdvantage, Alaska’s Atmos Rewards, and Cathay’s own program.
  • Cathay frames the move as responding to rising travel demand between Asia and North America, particularly from mainland China and India, and will raise Dallas/Fort Worth service to daily on Oct. 26, 2025.
  • The route previously flew in 2019–2020 before a pandemic suspension, and industry commentary links the timing to competitive shifts involving Alaska’s Seattle growth and Delta’s planned Hong Kong service from Los Angeles.
