Overview
- Flights begin March 30, 2026, returning a route launched in 2019 and paused during the pandemic, with service on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
- Service will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 280 seats, including 38 in business, 28 in premium economy and 214 in economy, with no first class cabin.
- CX852 departs Hong Kong at 1:30 p.m. and arrives in Seattle at 10:10 a.m.; CX853 leaves Seattle at 11:50 a.m. and arrives in Hong Kong at 4:45 p.m. the next day.
- Seattle becomes Cathay Pacific’s ninth North American gateway, supporting a plan to exceed 110 weekly flights to the region in summer 2026.
- The move comes as Delta plans Los Angeles–Hong Kong service and Alaska Airlines grows long-haul operations from Seattle.
