Catamarca Sets 120,000-Peso Bonus for Provincial Workers Paid in Three Installments

The government describes the payout as relief for inflation-driven wage losses.

Overview

  • Governor Raúl Jalil announced an extraordinary ARS 120,000 payment for all provincial public employees.
  • The Economy Ministry said the bonus will be split into ARS 40,000 in October, ARS 40,000 in November and ARS 40,000 in December, credited before the medio aguinaldo on the official payroll calendar.
  • Eligibility covers the entire Provincial Public Administration, including health, security and education personnel under public and private management across the province.
  • Economy Minister Fernando Monguillot framed the decision as a responsible use of available resources to support public employment.
  • ATE’s Ricardo Arévalo welcomed the measure but urged inclusion of municipal workers and suggested financing an extension through provincial revenue sharing, which the province has not confirmed.
