Overview

  • Four leading business associations—Foment del Treball, CAEB, CEV and CEOE Aragón—formalized the Decálogo por la Competitividad after two days of sectoral sessions in Barcelona.
  • The roadmap is built around four pillars—mobility, housing, tourism and innovation—to drive regional growth, investment and international projection.
  • Members pledged to boost their current €47.5 billion in annual trade to €60 billion by 2030, a 27 percent increase across the four territories.
  • Signatories called for at least 220 000 new homes annually to address a growing housing deficit and urged a more competitive fiscal framework alongside reduced bureaucratic hurdles.
  • Apart from an institutional reception led by President Salvador Illa and Conseller Miquel Sàmper, the working sessions proceeded without direct participation from regional governments.
