Overview

  • The Generalitat formalized partnerships with all seven public universities to secure €24.2 million for a program offering 2,000 paid placements to university and vocational training students over four years.
  • Interns will earn €10 gross per hour for university placements and €7 per hour for FP trainees, rotating through Generalitat departments and nearly 20 autonomous bodies.
  • More than 600 administration employees have volunteered as tutors and will receive up to €500 for completing 200 hours of specialised training.
  • The first cohort of 500 interns—400 university and 100 vocational—will begin placements this autumn, with FP internships scheduled to start in early 2026.
  • Priority fields include digital design, data analysis, artificial intelligence, IT, telecommunications, audiovisual production and finance to help offset the projected retirement of 24,000 civil servants by 2030.
