• The Consell Executiu de la Generalitat approved the posthumous honor for Óscar Muñoz on June 10, 2025.
• Muñoz was recognized for his rigorous coverage of municipal politics, mobility, urban planning and social movements during his thirty-year career at La Vanguardia.
• On March 4 the Generalitat restructured the Premis Nacionals de Comunicació into seven distinct categories.
• Other 2025 laureates include EAJ1 Ràdio Barcelona, Gemma Nierga, Ricard Ustrell, Carles Francino, La Xarxa +, Diari de Tarragona and Cristina Salvador with the Càncer360º podcast.
