Castilla y León Rolls Out €16 Million Bono Infantil for Extracurricular Activities

Official details will be published July 14 to launch the application portal on July 21 under criteria tied to parental employment and income thresholds

Overview

  • The €16 million fund is designed to aid around 80,000 families and more than 83,000 children aged four to twelve across the region
  • Families qualify if both parents are employed with joint income under €55,000 or single parents earn less than €27,500 annually
  • Each eligible child can receive up to €200 to cover language, sports, cultural or other courses held outside regular school hours
  • Regulatory bases will appear in the Boletín Oficial de Castilla y León on July 14 and applications will be accepted from July 21 until September 15
  • This measure builds on the Plan Familias framework alongside free education from ages 0 to 16, the Bono Nacimiento and Bono Concilia to bolster work-life balance
