Overview
- KRMB asked Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to immediately release their shares against an approved ₹23.32 crore budget for 2024–25 and 2025–26 after receiving nothing from April to December 2025.
- The board said it is covering salaries by temporarily using ₹4.15 crore that Telangana deposited for Phase‑II telemetry, a sum Telangana advanced after Andhra Pradesh did not share the cost.
- KRMB reported that only 7 of 18 Phase‑I radar sensors are functioning, Phase‑I data have not been usable, and an AMC liability of about ₹23.3 lakh for the year remains unpaid.
- Citing Andhra Pradesh’s complaint that Telangana is enhancing project capacities and preparing DPRs without mandatory clearances, KRMB wrote to the Union Jal Shakti Ministry for direction after forwarding the complaint to Telangana and receiving no reply.
- The board said it cannot take decisions on DPRs or project approvals because its jurisdiction is under Supreme Court consideration and project‑wise allocations from KWDT‑II are still awaited.
