Casey Phair, Youngest World Cup Player, Signs with Angel City FC

The 16-year-old forward, who made history in the Women's World Cup, joins the National Women's Soccer League through 2026.

Casey Phair, the youngest player in the history of the FIFA World Cup, has signed with Angel City FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) through the 2026 season.
Phair, who is of American and South Korean descent, was born in South Korea but grew up in the United States.
She made her World Cup debut for South Korea at 16 years and 26 days old, breaking the previous record set by Nigeria's Ifeanyi Chiejine in 1999.
Phair was also the first multiethnic player, male or female, to play for a South Korean senior national team.
Before signing with Angel City, Phair trained with several NWSL teams, including NJ/NY Gotham FC and the Kansas City Current.
