Overview
- Inaugurated by Castilla y León president Alfonso Fernández Mañueco on the writer’s 105th anniversary, the opening featured Delibes’s eldest son urging the house be available to all admirers.
- The museum occupies two ground-floor rooms off the Palacio Butrón’s central patio, with visitor access through the Renaissance building’s entrance on Calle San Diego.
- Visitors find the recreated salón, study and bedroom alongside a permanent gallery on Delibes’s life and work, with around 10,000 personal items reported on display.
- Operations fall under the Junta’s Dirección de Políticas Culturales with a reported annual management budget of about €200,000.
- Admission is free Tuesday to Saturday 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–19:00 and Sundays 10:00–14:00, with guided tours starting in November by email reservation at casadelibes@jcyl.es.
