Carrie Fisher's Final Film Wonderwell Finally Set for Release, 7 Years After Actress's Passing

Carrie Fisher's final film, Wonderwell, will arrive in theaters in 2022, several years after the actress's death in 2016.
In Wonderwell, Fisher plays the mysterious Hazel, who guides the protagonist Violet between modern-day Italy and an imaginary realm.
The journey to release Wonderwell has been long and difficult, according to its director, due to COVID-19 and Fisher's death.
Fisher celebrated her 60th birthday while filming Wonderwell in Italy and was full of energy during production.
Wonderwell will first open in AMC theaters before becoming available on digital platforms on June 23.
