Carolina Panthers Re-Sign Andy Dalton on Two-Year Deal

Andy Dalton, 37, has agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract with the Carolina Panthers, including $6 million guaranteed and performance incentives that could raise its value to $10 million.
Dalton joined the Panthers in 2023 and has primarily served as a backup and mentor to Bryce Young, the 2023 No. 1 overall draft pick.
In the 2024 season, Dalton stepped in as the starter for five games, posting 989 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions before being sidelined by a thumb injury sustained in a car accident.
Bryce Young reclaimed the starting role after Dalton's injury and showed significant improvement, solidifying his position as the Panthers' franchise quarterback heading into the 2025 season.
Dalton's extensive 14-year NFL career includes 253 touchdowns, 39,500 passing yards, and three Pro Bowl selections, making him a valuable veteran presence for the Panthers.
