Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard Named Finalists for 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame

The two NBA legends, along with the 2008 U.S. 'Redeem Team,' are among those one step closer to enshrinement in Springfield.

Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard are finalists for the 2025 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, both as individuals and as members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic 'Redeem Team.'
Anthony, a 10-time NBA All-Star and NCAA champion, ranks 10th in NBA career points and is celebrated for his scoring ability and leadership despite not winning an NBA title.
Other notable finalists include women’s basketball legends Sue Bird, Maya Moore, Sylvia Fowles, and Jennifer Azzi, all recognized for their Olympic and professional achievements.
The Hall of Fame class will be announced on April 5 during the NCAA men’s Final Four, with enshrinement scheduled for September 5-6 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Additional finalists include NBA figures Marques Johnson, Buck Williams, and Micky Arison, as well as coaches Billy Donovan and Mark Few, and international basketball icons like Dusan Ivkovic.
