- Katherine N. Curtis, 34, was arrested and booked on preliminary counts that include possession of a narcotic drug, dealing by a licensed practitioner, identity deception and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
- Detectives executed search warrants on Oct. 23 at her Carmel office and home and reported recovering additional evidence.
- The investigation, led by IMPD task force officers with the DEA Tactical Diversion Section and Carmel Police, began after several pharmacies reported suspicious and possibly excessive prescriptions.
