• Carly Pearce accidentally sliced her dominant thumb on a glass ranch dressing bottle after an Aug. 8 concert in Holmdel, New Jersey.
• On-site paramedics examined the deep laceration and advised a hospital evaluation, leading to her transport by ambulance under stretcher protocol.
• At the ER she received an X-ray to rule out glass shards, endured a very painful numbing agent, and had the wound closed with stitches.
• Back home in Nashville, she is adapting daily routines and stage prep around limited use of her right hand.
• Pearce remains scheduled to perform at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, California, on Aug. 14 and has joked about bedazzling her bandage for the show.
