Carlin Glynn, a Tony Award-winning actress known for roles in films like Sixteen Candles and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, passed away at 83.
Glynn died after battling dementia and cancer in recent years, according to her daughter Mary Stuart Masterson.
She won a Tony in 1979 for her performance in the Broadway musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Glynn also appeared in movies such as Three Days of the Condor and had roles in several TV series over her decades-long career.
Her husband Peter Masterson, who adapted The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, died in 2018.
