Carjackers Steal Vehicle with Child Inside, Tracked and Apprehended

Mother's iPhone tracking app leads to recovery of stolen vehicle and arrest of suspects, child found safe.

Carjackers stole a vehicle with a 2-year-old child in the backseat near the Oakland Coliseum.
The child was found safe and unharmed near a warehouse in San Leandro, several miles away from the carjacking scene.
The mother tracked her stolen car, with her iPhone still inside, to a parking lot outside a McDonald's in Strawberry, about 140 miles away.
Surveillance video captured two suspects, identified as Viorel Andrei Morari of Oakland and Carly McVicker of San Leandro, leaving the vehicle.
The suspects were apprehended by police while trying to flee on foot, and Morari was booked on suspicion of kidnapping and carjacking.
