Overview
- The team will leave the Dignity Health Training Center in Tempe, which has been its home since 1989.
- The complex will anchor a 217-acre mixed-use site in Paradise Ridge near Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road, with the Cardinals occupying about 30 acres in a building exceeding 250,000 square feet.
- Plans include three natural-grass practice fields, a full-size indoor turf fieldhouse, and expanded locker, weight and dining spaces.
- The Cardinals purchased the land for $136 million at an Arizona State Land Department auction with Mortenson’s assistance, and construction is estimated at a minimum of $200 million.
- Sports architecture firm Rossetti is designing the facility, and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego praised the investment as a boost to the city’s “Headquarters Alley.”
