Cardinals Sign Veteran Punter Matt Haack After Cutting Pat O’Donnell

With Blake Gillikin still on injured reserve, Arizona turned to Matt Haack to handle punts against the Jaguars.

The team added Haack on Wednesday after releasing interim punter Pat O’Donnell earlier in the week.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon said O’Donnell "did a good job" but that switching punters was an evaluation to help the unit.
Gillikin was not designated to return from IR this week, ending speculation he might be activated for Sunday’s game versus Jacksonville.
O’Donnell averaged 42.2 yards per punt with a 36.2-yard net over five games, trailing this season’s league norms.
The Cardinals also waived linebacker Jared Bartlett and cut practice-squad lineman Anthony Goodlow, with Bartlett clearing waivers and expected to rejoin the practice squad.
