Cardinal Health to Build Automated Indianapolis Drug Distribution Hub, Opening in 2027

Overview
- On Sept. 30, Cardinal Health announced a flagship forward distribution center in Indianapolis, its second pharmaceutical distribution-center announcement since 2024.
- The facility will deploy advanced automation to support the daily distribution of more than 70,000 pharmaceutical and specialty products across the United States.
- The site is scheduled to be fully operational by fall 2027 and is expected to create more than 100 jobs in Indiana.
- The Indianapolis location leverages the state’s logistics strengths to improve service reach, reliability and speed for customers.
- Funding capacity is backed by $2.5 billion in FY25 adjusted free cash flow, FY26 guidance of $2.75–$3.25 billion and a 39-year streak of dividend increases.
